Precompiling assets failed. というエラーが発生した話

こんにちは、あおい(@aoi_programmer)です。

今日はherokuでアプケーションをgit push heroku masterしようとしたらエラーが出た話と解決策を話します

! [remote rejected] master -> master (pre-receive hook declined)
error: failed to push some refs to 'https://git.heroku.com/アプリ名

みたいなエラーが出て、その上のログを遡ると

こんなのが出てた、なんやねんこれ笑

最初はremote rejectedの方を検索したり、解決しようと思って頑張ってたけど、全然うまくいかなかった。

だからもっとログを遡ろうと思い、遡ると、

ERROR in ./app/javascript/memo.js
remote:        Module build failed (from ./node_modules/babel-loader/lib/index.js):
remote:        SyntaxError: /tmp/build_ea84cd07/app/javascript/memo.js: Unexpected token, expected ";" (1:9)

みたいなエラー文があった。
これやんけ！と思い、すぐにVSCodeを開いたら、ちゃんと間違った記述がされていて、光の速度で修正しました。

んで、またgit push heroku masterを実行したら、また同じエラー。

どういうこと？

と思いつつも試行錯誤してたら、ふと気がつきます。

「あ、GitHub Desktopでcommitするの忘れてた」

これです！これが原因でした！

すぐにGitHub Desktopにてgit commitして、
再びgit push heroku masterを実行するとうまくできました。

意外と初歩的なミスをしがちなあおい(@aoi_programmer)でした。
